Our History from our Founder
History of CIA 2000 by Jim, Managing Director and founder
CIA 2000 was started back in 1979 after I was made redundant from Mather and Platt Alarms. Where I was in charge of Banks and Bank Centre deposit centre Security. When I left, I got a contract repairing the Fire Control Panels for M & P for the off shore rigs. My time I spent in my Apprenticeship at Ferrantis helped as I was happy down to component level.
I was then lucky to be introduced to a couple of Directors who had several Bingo halls and Cinemas and was given a contract to install and repair. Fire and Intruder alarm systems in all their premises and homes.
From the start I ran the Business from my Mothers house in Chadderton eventually moving to our current premises in Lees Where we extended our Customer base. We bought the Building from the CO-OP in 1997 and moved to ground floor offices renting out the remaining areas to several Tenants.
I brought my Wife into the business in the early 2000s to run Accounts which is where she is comfortable as she was Head Cashier at the shopping giant Failsworth previously. We built the Business with solid Family values which is where we stand today as the next Generation of the Family starts to take control and Build on that earlier success

History Timeline
A Short History of CIA
Started CIA working from My Mothers House.
Got contract with Bonanza Bingo and Leisure for security on Cinemas and bingo Halls.
We took on 2 Engineers and 3 Apprentices.
Moved into 72 High Street, Lees the old CO-OP Building.
Acquired Village Leisure Hotels contract.
Bought the whole Building 72 High Street, Lees.
Expanded service base to include Access, CCTV, Fire Alarms and Emergency Lighting.
Expanded Engineering base due acquisition of a new large Contract.
Upgraded all IT equipment for the business.
Take on another group of Engineers and replace all Vans.
Big expansion program with brand new Website to start with.
Jim is looking to retire and the new chapter of our company is starting with his son Mark due to take the wheel
